We are excited to announce the 16th annual American Cancer Society Seattle Hope Gala on Saturday, September 21 at the Westin Seattle. The event promises top wines, cocktails, fine dining, unique auction packages, live music, and dancing. More than 400 business and community leaders will come together to Light the Path of Hope for patients and families fighting cancer.
The American Cancer Society is working to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. We are the largest private, not-for-profit funder of cancer research in the United States, investing more than $4 billion since 1946. Thanks in part to our contributions, more than 1.5 million lives have been saved in the US in the past two decades. Now that is a reason to celebrate!
So follow the path that leads to Hope Gala and join us for a fun and inspiring night celebrating the advances made in cancer treatment and prevention programs, while raising funds to directly support life-saving research nationwide. Together, we can Light the Path of Hope for everyone.
As the only organization combating cancer through advocacy, research, and patient support, the American Cancer Society has made significant contributions to the fight against cancer over the last 110 years. While most people know the American Cancer Society as a research organization, they are doing so much more as they work to end cancer as we know it, for everyone.
They advocate for lifesaving policy changes at every level of government. They promote healthy lifestyles to help people prevent cancer. They provide information, answers, and support to people in every community who have been touched by cancer. Did you know the American Cancer Society launched the nation’s very first 24/7 cancer information call center in 1997, which continues to serve patients and their families 24 hours a day, 365 days a year?
And yes, they research cancer and its causes to find more answers and better treatment. An early American Cancer Society study confirmed the link between smoking and lung cancer. They invested in a pivotal study that proved mammography to be the best tool for early detection of breast cancer.
Cancer is a complex problem, and it takes a comprehensive approach – and all of us – to make real progress. The American Cancer Society continues to work tirelessly to fund research and provide support for all types of cancer. And thanks to your generous support, their work is helping to ensure that everyone – in every community – has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.
Learn MoreFor more than 10 decades, the American Cancer Society has been dedicated to pursuing better outcomes for every cancer, every life. Today, more people are surviving cancer than ever before, but there is still work to be done. Join us, support us, and help us end cancer as we know it, for everyone.
